When you are feeling calm, peaceful and in control, you will have a calm, peaceful homeschooling family.
Do you ever feel like you would like to press the
‘pause’ button on life?
You are enjoying life, there’s lots going on. You are making progress with the children and you appreciate all the different aspects of your life. But things are getting a bit too busy, and you feel like you are ‘running to keep up’. You just need a ‘pause’ button.
I felt like I needed to press the ‘pause’ button on parts of my life at the end of 2011 and so that’s what I did. I stopped checking emails every single day, I stopped worrying about the finer details of housekeeping and home making.
This meant that I was able to enjoy the break; I especially enjoyed the company of my husband and children. I pottered in the garden, I read lots of books. And finally, when I was feeling rested, I focused on finishing my new course, ‘Successful Homeschooling Made Easy’.
Let me encourage you to hit the ‘pause’ button when life starts to speed up for you. It’s worth pacing yourself to keep life in balance and homeschooling running smoothly. And a short ‘pause’ will pay off in renewed vigour and peaceful children.
